EnVyUs secure first place in group A following a confident 2-0 win against fnatic (de_cbble 16-11, de_inferno 16-6).

The start of day two of ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 Finals saw top two teams per our ranking, EnVyUs and fnatic, take on each other in a best-of-three match for first place in group A.

EnVyUs chose to go with de_cbble as the first map, and also got a 3-0 start towards the beginning before dropping a round up against a B bombsite execute. Due to losing a lot of guns in the anti-ecos, they were forced on an eco, but their superb baiting strategy in pit made up for it.

After another set of close forcebuys, EnVyUs got to 6-1 before fnatic pulled back, as they got the Frenchmen on a double eco as well after just one round. Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey's 1-on-1 clutch put his team up to 8-4, but they dropped the remainder of the half to fnatic.

A second pistol round win for EnVyUs, as well as survived anti-ecos meant a 11-7 scoreline, only for fnatic to pull back again with three in a row of their own. EnVyUs didn't drop the ball though, as they slowly crawled up to 13-10. Only Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer and his quad-kill in the following round delayed the finish of map one, as EnVyUs picked up three in a row afterwards to make it 16-11, 1-0.

fnatic's pick was de_inferno and yet again it was EnVyUs as Terrorists to get ahead early on with a 3-0, much thanks to Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer's 2-on-5 ace in the second round anti-forcebuy. fnatic got the first gunround for their trouble, but Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's triple in a 2-on-3 put them on a bad buy.

That didn't seem to matter to a lonesome olofmeister on the B bombsite, who picked up a triple with a mag-7, which in turn put EnVyUs on a double eco. From there on up until 6-6 rounds kept going back and forth one by one, until the Frenchmen finally picked up the pace and made it 9-6 after three in a row towards the end of the first half.

In the second half it was mostly Kenny "kennyS" Schrub with superb individual performances, starting with a 1-on-2 in the pistol round. Nothing seemed to have worked in fnatic's favor afterwards, as the French AWPer won another clutch for 13-6 and five more kills in the following two gunrounds. EnVyUs had no trouble closing things out without dropping a single round on their Counter-Terrorist side, which saw them picking up first place in group A and advance to semi-finals.
